USB Flash Drive with Display
Formatting for Initial Use
Windows: Simply right click on your SmartDrive's icon in Windows Explorer or My Computer and select "Format". You may add up to an eleven character name and it will appear both on your computer as well as your SmartDrive display.
Mac: Find your SmartDrive icon in Disk Utility, click on "Erase". Type your desired eleven character name to display both within Disk Utility and on your SmartDrive in the Name column. Click on "Erase" and the drive will be formated and display name applied.
Setting Display Characters
To set the display name, simply insert the USB Flash Drive into the USB port of the computer. The Flash Drive will then be displayed as a drive on the computer. Key in up to eleven characters to name the drive on the computer, this same name will be displayed on the USB Flash Drive.
Drivers for MS Windows
Extra drivers are not needed for: Windows 2000, ME, XP; Mac 9.0.4 - 10.x; Linux 2.4.x; as they are built in. For Windows 98 you may download the driver below.
